Hisham Nazir is an experienced and dedicated defence lawyer who focuses his criminal and civil litigation practice on criminal defense and general litigation. He further defends businesses and individuals involved in civil, administrative or criminal government investigations or proceedings.
His clients include or have included multi-national, national, regional and local companies involved in many different industries. He practices regularly and having experiences in all level of Malaysians' court.
He is a graduate of University of Kebangsaan Malaysia (UKM) who graduated with Bachelor of Laws Degree with honors and then went on to obtain a Master of Law (LL.M) from the same alma mata. He completed his Diploma Lepasan Ijazah Syariah dan Amalan on 2017 from University Technology of MARA.
During early of his practice since 2004, he has been given ample opportunity and exposure to various different types of litigation, including general litigation and even criminal litigation wherein the main focus of his practice at the early stages was on debt collections where he mastered his knowledge in general litigation and procedural laws.
Subsequently he has now gained experience in handling and conducting various and different types of civil suits relating to loan recovery matters as well as matters relating to banking defense litigation, execution of judgments and enforcement of Court order.
He has been well-known as a senior criminal lawyer which experience in handling and conducting various criminal proceeding as well as matters relating to Arms Act, Kidnapping Act, Dangerous Drug Act, Penal Code, Immigration Act etc in any criminal court level.
In criminal cases involved mandatory sentence, he had wide experience in Dangerous Drug Act 1952 and Section 302 Penal Code for murder. He had been trusted by High Court, Court of Appeal and Federal Court of Malaysia to handle a criminal trials and appeals which involving death penalty.
He has also handled legal matters involving contractual civil litigation such as Construction Contracts, Corporate Debts Recovery, Goods Sold & Delivered, Labour Laws, Late Delivery, Retail Debts Recovery and Services Rendered etc.
While handling and conducting the above, he has also exposed himself to various appeal proceedings, from leave to appeal, appeal from Subordinate Court to High Court, appeal from Registrar to the Judge In Chamber, appeal to the Court of Appeal and also appeal to the Federal Court for civil and criminal litigation.
